In an interview after the final stage of the tour Team Hurricanes climbing captain Ignace Bautmans released a press statement. 'I would personnally like to thank all team mates for all their help during all the highs and lows of my career. There comes a time in everyones life when you meet a cross road and i have found it harder to compete at the top end which is why i would like to announce my retirement and concentrate on family life. i will stay on with Team Hurricanes as a coaching capicity to help coach any new climbing prospects the team have. The time is right as i am delighted with my 7th in the Tour of the Minuteman and always wanted to finish at the top again many thanks to all my team mates over the years.

no couldnt stand being home all day with the wife lol
He didn't retire! :)
Congrats and welcome back
I hope so too, btw now that I'm thinking of it, because you haven't played for several seasons, all your riders have a potential topform left. That could see you rise up the ranks!
cheers quickstep Pauwel de Kort will play a large part in our future i hope.
To bad he hasn't raced for several seasons, otherwise he could have had a great career, even at the national team. And it's nice to see an 'old' team come back. Best of luck :)
